Summer Begins!

Today is the first day of summer. Fortunately we didn't have rain like we have had. Tomorrow is to be beautiful with thunder storms Wednesday afternoon. Such unusual weather patterns for this time of year.

I've been very tired today. Took an hour nap with Lucy, but still feels like I weight 20 pounds heavier. The burn in my leg continues. Between the two and the usual Fibromyalgia pain, it's been a rough day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I hadn't thought about the possibility of it being "spine" related until I received a comment about the possibility. I am overdue for my Chiropractic appointment. Guess I better make an appointment.

We have enjoyed the grandchildren of one of the other hosts. Tomorrow we will take the older two fishing and their grandparents will be cleaning campsites for us. Sounds like a good swap to me!!!

  4. Great swap - hope it took, and that the weather there's been as nice as it has here.

If it's not too bold, I'd like to offer you a fibromyalgia coupon - get a 10% discount on all meds, including cyclobenzaprine and tizanidine, by using the code POP101 when ordering from www.247-pharmacy.com

Forgive me if I'm being too sales-y - I'd just like to help in any way I can.

  5. Hi Deb,

I, too, have Fibro (and all the other related syndromes & stuff). I also experience the burning numbness in my left thigh. I've had that for a few years now & my doctor ascribed it as overactive nerves. It's the same for me in that it gets bad when standing for long periods (particularly standing still like in line at the grocery store, etc). Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I look forward to reading more ;o) You can check out my blog at www.fibrowhat-jeannie.blogspot.com

  8. I live in Montreal Quebec. I have just returned from Switzerland where we visited Dr. J. Bauer.

Dr. Bauer has treated hundreds of FMS patients world-wide. I personally know 5 of his patients, one of them is my own mother.

I can speak for mom and say with utmost confidence that Dr. Bauer helped her regain her quality of life and she has been pain-free for a few years now.

You may contact Dr. Bauer through his website: www.fms-bauer.com, or you may email him at office@fms-bauer.com.

I urge you to read about his method and give him a call.

    Sincerely,

    Milene Vaknin

  9. Thank you all for posting. For those of you recommending that I check out your website or blog...I will.

Ryan..where can I find this great page?

David (UA)...I will take your survey. Thanks for asking

Anonymous (Anxiety July 16)...YES, I suffer from anxiety as do many FM sufferers. It's very common. Our "flight or fright" is a frustrating experience. Some must take medication just for the anxiety.

Anonymous (twitching July 20)...I'm going to assume you are the same person who posted on the 16th. There is another FM symptom called the "creepy crawlies." Feels like little bugs are on you. When you look, nothing is there.
