Getting out of Dodge!

HITCH ITCH!!!

Yep, I have hitch itch. It does not cause a rash, upset tummy, diarrhea or hunger. Hitch itch is a term my husband Dwain and I use when we are ready to hit the road. In case you don't remember or you are a new reader, Dwain and I are full-time RVers. We have a 37' Fifth Wheel Montana. After being in an area for awhile, we get hitch itch to get out of Dodge. Well, we are itchin'! We are waiting for our mail to arrive from eastern Oregon then we will hitch up the RV and go! While traveling, we stop every two hours to stretch. We keep snacks and plenty of water in the truck.

I enjoy traveling, seeing new places. It also provides me with time to read or knit. We rarely eat out. The RV is our home so the fridge/freezer is full. Although I don't cook a large meal as we are never as hungry after sitting all day. Also my Fibromyalgia is height on. My butt gets tired and my pain increases. I'm thankful that the drive is not a long day. The drive is always interesting. Not only new scenery, but we always see wildlife...deer, elk, mountain goats ad lots of birds, to name a few.

I'm a lucky girl to be living as I like. It is easier on my body and for that, I am thankful.

  5. Hi Deb, I would love to live full time in an RV and travel this great country! We have too many dogs right now, but maybe one day, sell the house, buy a RV and go! Come on down to SoCal sometime!

  6. The pain that produces the fibro is difficult to understand and in many cases they feel tired take prescription drugs - vicodin, lortab, or oxycodone - possible side effects and consequences. Online mention that not be should be abused these drugs because they may cause severe liver damage and should not mix with other medications.

  7. Hi Debbie, I like your blog!! I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me. First I started suffering from severe hypoglycemia, now my body hurts all over. I have been to several doctors and they all tell me I am okay and there's nothing wrong to cause my body aches. I ran across your blog and thought I would send you a comment and see if you can tell me more about your illness. I was off work for a year and then the doctor said I was ready to go back even though my body aches never went away. I learned to keep my low sugar under control by eating healthy but now I after a year of being back on the job, I am off for three months. The doctor says I am ready to go back but nobody can help my fibromyalgia. I have thyroid problems also but the specialist for that says nothing is wrong with my thyroid and I am keeping it under control with medications. But my body hurts and especially when it is foggy. They checked me for rheumatoid arthritis since my mom and aunts have it but they said I don't have that. When I read your blog and see how you have pain I feel like maybe it's not in my head as the doctors try to tell me!

  8. Thanks for all your comments and for sticking with me when I haven't been able to post. I feel bad about not posting more often but it's been a hard winter. I fully intended to post daily when I started my blog.
Anonomyous...post your email or phone number and we can talk. My phone is 503-440-0626. You can also read thru my blog. Somewhere near the beginning I wrote about the symptoms I experience. When I was first learning about FM, I was surprised to learn that a symptom I had turned out to be part of FM.
